KSM MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT, the largest HR firm in Zambia recently acquired GOZAMBIAJOBS.CO.ZM, becoming the largest recruitment platform in the country is now actively looking to recruit for Procurement Manager on behalf of our client in the banking sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management and Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
- Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best prices and conditions Communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, and promptly resolve any procurement issues that may arise.
- Creating and managing purchase orders to ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
- Monitoring inventory levels and forecasting demand to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Analyzing costs and identifying areas for savings to improve overall procurement efficiency.
- Ensuring that procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Supplier Performance Evaluation and Assessing supplier performance and making recommendations for improvement or changes.
- Working with other departments (like finance and operations) to align procurement strategies with overall business goals.
- Staying informed about market trends, pricing, and new suppliers or products.
- Preparing reports on procurement activities, budgets, and savings for management review.
Logistics:
Operations Coordination: Manage and coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods and services.
Compliance: Ensure all procurement and logistics activities comply with Zambian policies, requirements, and regulatory standards.
Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Procurement and Logistics Department, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining organized records.
Education Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Purchasing and Supply, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of work experience in procurement and administration.
- Professional CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) qualification or equivalent.
- ZIPS membership is mandatory for this position
